LEMON + SALT

This bar was inspired by some preserved lemons I made in the past.  My little lemon tree was loaded with fruit and it seemed like the thing to do.  All it took was lemons, sea salt, peppercorns and bay leaves and some time. After a few weeks I had this tangy and salty condiment. During this process, I thought a preserved lemon inspired bar might be fun, so I came up with this salt bar recipe. It’s loaded with sea salt, oils and butter and scented with lemon, litsea, rosemary and a touch of black pepper essential oils. It also contains coconut milk that gives it a gorgeous, creamy lather and also gives it a stone-like feel. This soleseife bar gIves you all the benefits of a salt bar, but with a smoother feel.

Ingredients: Coconut Oil, Olive Oil, Sodium Hydroxide, Filtered Water, Coconut Milk, Castor Oil, Shea Butter, Sea Salt, Kaolin Clay, Dried Lemon Peel, Lemon, Rosemary, Litsea and Black Pepper Essential Oils.
