Late summer is blackberry season around here and in early fall there’s a syrupy sweetness in the air as the remaining blackberries languish on the vine.This bar is the color of a gorgeous blackberry jam thanks to alkanet powder, a natural colorant from the borage family.We’ve infused this soap’s abundant oils and butters with alkanet powder and the changes in color were so much fun to watch, but we adore the final blackberry hue.These bars are scented with grapefruit, bergamot, orange, lemon, and a touch of anise, cinnamon and cedarwood.
